    Be “In-kind” – Creating a corporate culture that gives back

    Is giving back part of your corporate culture? At Global Language Solutions (GLS), we provide in-kind and financial donations to Susan G. Komen, Talk About Curing Autism, and other non-profits. We’re also participating as a team to “Race for the Cure” later this month. Here are some ideas for creating a culture of giving back in your organization.

    Be in-kind. Whether your organization prints collateral or fixes appliances, there is an opportunity to offer in-kind services to individuals in need or charities. For example, Constant Contact offers low cost and sponsored e-mail marketing accounts to qualified non-profits. Global Language Solutions provides free translation services to Whole Child International, an international aid organization based in Los Angeles that works with governments to improve the quality of life for children in orphanages.

    A Time to Give – Corporate Philanthropy

    The holiday season is in full swing. Today marks the first day of Hanukkah, earlier this week online holiday shopping kicked into full gear with Cyber Monday, and several satellite radio stations have officially switched over to “Sounds of the Season” — featuring all of your favorite carols 24 hours a day for the next month. Although much of the media focuses on buying and receiving, in this post, we expand on a previous entry about giving back and how you can incorporate the holidays into your corporate philanthropy programs. It doesn’t have to impact your bottom line to make a big difference in your community and boost your corporate morale.
