The globalization of clinical trials no longer is a matter of speculation; it is a fact. The question that industry professionals, scientists, and regulators now must contend with is not whether globalization will continue, but rather how it will affect both the art and science of clinical research and the world at large. Each stage of a drug’s life cycle is touched by language, culture, and national infrastructure needs.
